Know Before You Go
Contaminated substances are one of the biggest risks at large events. A quick strip test gives you information before you make a decision.
The BTNX Rapid Response strip is a qualitative dipstick test used by public health programs, supervised consumption sites and drug-checking services across Canada. It screens a dissolved liquid or powder sample for synthetic opioids at concentrations above 200 ng/mL and shows a result in as little as one minute.
Each strip is sealed in its own foil pouch, so you can carry one or two in a fanny pack and leave the rest at camp. Researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found these strips had the lowest detection limit and highest accuracy of the methods they compared.
Important
This test does not evaluate drug safety or purity. A negative result does not mean a substance is safe. Never use alone, and look after your friends. For forensic and IVD use.
How to Use
- Dissolve a small amount of the sample in clean water, following the product insert.
- Dip the wavy end of the strip into the liquid for about 15 seconds, without passing the maximum line.
- Lay the strip flat and read it after about a minute.
- Two lines means negative, one line means positive. Check the insert for full instructions.
Each kit includes 10 test strips and a product insert. Shelf life is 36 months from the date of manufacture.
